23 - Maintenance Associate

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ensuring the facility is well-maintained, safe, and clean. This includes
performing routine repairs, general upkeep, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the building and
grounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Primary Responsibilities:
• Maintain sanitary conditions in and around the facility including classrooms, bathrooms, offices, and
common areas including:
o Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining overall
cleanliness of the facility
• Monitor and clean up any debris outside of the facility and playground as needed.
• Maintain inventory of all maintenance supplies and submit supply orders in a timely manner.
• Receive and store deliveries of supplies.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and
painting.
• Assess and report any facility needs to supervisor.
• Ensure the safety and security of the facility including maintaining clear fire exits, emergency and
exit sign lighting and reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns.
• Remove all garbage from the facility daily or more often as needed and place it in the dumpster.
• Work cooperatively with staff, supervisor and operations manage to complete any additional
assigned tasks as it relates to performance standards and licensing.
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Satisfactory completion of mandatory trainings.
• Additional duties as assigned.
