The Position
Roche Diagnostics Corporation seeks a Digital Solutions Engineer at its Indianapolis, IN location.
Duties: Manage the full implementation life cycle for Navify Lab Operations middleware, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously across various phases of development. Facilitate the collection and analysis of clinical data to configure middleware applications, specifically focusing on the distinct modules of Laboratory Analytics and Laboratory Automation. Configure complex laboratory parameters within the software, including the establishment of reference ranges, Analytical Measurement Ranges, result modifications, and Delta Checks. Design and implement Quality Control protocols and automated validation criteria, while developing customer-specific rules to ensure laboratory accuracy and efficiency. Lead planning sessions with customers to align physical laboratory robotics (Automation lines) with digital workflows, including the strategic routing of samples, aliquoting, and automated storage and retrieval. Conduct rigorous “Dry Testing” using proprietary simulation tools to model laboratory behavior, followed by “Wet Testing” with live samples to verify that all configurations meet strict performance standards. Provide dedicated support during the transition to live operations (Go-Live), monitoring system performance either on-site or through remote access to resolve technical issues immediately. Manage customer expectations and provide comprehensive weekly progress updates to both internal leadership and external stakeholders during scheduled project consultations. Design and execute transition processes for customers migrating from legacy products to the modern Navify Lab Operations platform, leveraging specialized historical product knowledge. Serve as a subject matter expert for the internal team, providing technical support and troubleshooting critical issues that require advanced simulation expertise. Use specialized simulation tools (cobas total workflow simulation) to predict and prevent workflow bottlenecks before a single physical sample is processed. May telecommute up to 5 days per week. Position requires up to 25% fully reimbursed domestic travel.
Education and Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Medical Technology, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology, or related field, and 3 years of experience as Computer Engineer or Systems Engineer or related position in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
Skills Requirement: 3 years of experience must include:
1. Experience with healthcare domain integration standards (ASTM, HL7, IHE, DICOM, HIPAA, ADT, etc.)
2. Experience with file parsing (XML, XSLT, CSV)
3. Lab instrumentation and testing
4. LIS and laboratory IT processes and workflows
May telecommute up to 5 days per week. Position requires up to 25% fully reimbursed domestic travel.

The expected annual salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Indianapolis, Indiana is $ 115,488 to $185,900 per year. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
