Job Description

As an Accessibility Design Specialist, you contribute to welcoming every player into our worlds – regardless of motor, cognitive, visual, auditory, or other impairments. Committed to inclusivity, you guide us in creating games designed for the entire spectrum of our players. You act as an ambassador for accessibility, advising production teams across the company on solutions that make our games accessible to everyone. Because when obstacles exist, you ensure they are removed – especially if you have faced them yourself.

Your responsibilities

• Collaborate with our studio production teams to improve the accessibility of our games.
• Facilitate user testing by providing our labs with accessibility guidelines for recruitment, moderation, analysis, and reporting.
• Collaborate with players with disabilities, involving them in the development process before launch to gather their feedback and refine accessibility features.
• Communicate with internal accessibility advocates (such as UX directors and designers) to ensure that accessibility is considered from the start and remains a priority throughout production.
• Coordinate knowledge sharing by promoting best practices, developing internal training, speaking at conferences, publishing articles, etc.
• Maintain relationships with the accessibility community and industry experts to keep the dialogue active.

Qualifications

• An advocacy-oriented mindset: you are respectful and aware of all types of disabilities, in all circumstances
• An eye for detail, particularly in design: you understand that a seemingly simple choice can make all the difference in an experience
• An ability to influence change and the motivation to implement it
• A highly collaborative and innovative spirit
• Excellent organizational, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
• An understanding of video game production processes, as well as industry best practices and resources regarding game accessibility
