JOB SUMMARY:
- Proactively and effectively manage and lead the delivery of all medical communications projects within an account, with a focus on client, financial and project management.
- Autonomy in the management of a full account including some or all of the projects within the account, demonstrating account leadership, prioritization, and multitasking.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Internal Leadership
- Lead and motivate the internal project teams and provide regular feedback on performance both directly and to line managers.
- Support colleagues in understanding and fulfilling project and client goals, facilitating effective teamwork to deliver a project on time, to budget, and client satisfaction.
- Highlight any issues before they impact team performance or the client relationship, including account team resource requirements.
Project Management
- Provide a professional, high‐quality commercial perspective to allocated accounts, for the benefit of both the client and the company.
- Review outputs against the client’s rationale for work, specific project objectives, key messages, and for consistency with the medical communication aims on the account.
- Interpret and challenge client briefs and brief the project team accordingly to ensure timely delivery in line with client expectations.
- Efficiently manage and deliver multiple projects within and across accounts, to budget, and within agreed timelines, working collaboratively with the wider account team.
- Keep the wider team well-informed of project status and scope, encouraging the team to accurately complete timesheets and report any variations to scope.
- Provide support with project management tasks for the Medical Services team if appropriate.
- Identify and recommend more efficient ways of working.
- Work with Associate/Account Executive to develop project timelines, maintain project status documents and follow up on action items.
- Prepare for, attend, and actively participate in client meetings, and provide on‐site support at medical meetings (symposia, advisory boards) according to the needs of the account.
Financial Management
- Contribute to the development and review of account plan forecasts in collaboration with senior colleagues, including ongoing monitoring and tracking of progress to achieve forecast.
- Liaise with the internal team to produce project specifications and budget estimates and ensure accurate recording of time versus budget for ongoing projects.
- Monitor and track project status and costs versus SOW to ensure maximum recovery on projects and ensure that any request for work outside the original SOW is discussed and agreed with the client before the commencement of work.
- Provide accurate, timely financial information to the client and internal team regularly.
- Prepare for and attend regular account business plan review meetings, always ensuring accuracy, and keeping the Account Director/Client Service Director and Client Finance updated monthly.
- Drive projects through to completion, including the collection of persuasive evidence, reconciliation invoicing, and the monitoring of aged debt promptly – following IPG Health Medical Communications financial procedures.
- Understand and meet the KPIs for the account, highlighting any concerns/issues to senior Client Service colleagues promptly.
Business Development
- Together with senior colleagues, identify opportunities for growth on existing accounts identify any potential limitations, and propose appropriate courses of action.
- Actively contribute to new business proposals as appropriate.
- Contribute to the development of new IPG Health Medical Communications products and services, identify gaps, and suggest new solutions where appropriate.
$60,000 - $85,000
Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
