Accounting Specialist - Americas

ChainGPT is hiring a hands-on Accounting Specialist to manage accounting and core finance operations for a multi-entity group across multiple jurisdictions. The role covers close management, general ledger maintenance, crypto accounting, reconciliations, controls, compliance, treasury visibility, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close across entities.
• Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, FX revaluation, and supporting schedules.
• Run the close calendar and exceptions queue while keeping documentation audit-ready.
• Own bookkeeping and intercompany invoicing, reconciliations, balances, and related-party support.
• Lead crypto transaction accounting across wallets, exchanges, custodians, networks, and tokens.
• Reconcile crypto balances and maintain audit trails, classification rules, gains/losses, and cost-basis schedules.
• Implement finance controls and maintain the compliance calendar with external advisors.
• Coordinate with accountants, auditors, tax providers, and legal counsel.
• Deliver P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance, burn, and spend reporting.
• Support budgeting, rolling forecasts, treasury reporting, payment operations, and cash visibility.

Requirements

• 6+ years in accounting, controllership, or finance operations with end-to-end close and reporting ownership.
• Prior professional experience in web3 or crypto companies, exchanges, or crypto-heavy operations is mandatory.
• Strong IFRS/GAAP-level technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Crypto-native accounting experience covering wallets, exchanges, reconciliations, audit trails, and crypto-aware controls.
• Strong documentation discipline, integrity, and written communication.
• Ability to operate in a lean, high-ownership environment.
• Hands-on Xero experience is mandatory.
• Hands-on Cryptio experience is mandatory.
• SQL or data proficiency, blockchain analytics familiarity, audit support, and selected international bookkeeping experience are nice to have.
