Actuarial Senior Analyst

Summary

Senior Actuarial Analyst developing and maintaining actuarial models for valuation, financial reporting, and risk analysis. Performs calculations, trend analysis, and stakeholder reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements, using tools like Excel and supporting junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance actuarial models to support valuation, financial reporting, and business analysis.
  • Perform actuarial calculations, analyses, and reporting in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial, risk, and actuarial results to identify trends, key drivers, and business impacts.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support stakeholder decision-making and reporting requirements.
  • Review, validate, and reconcile data used in actuarial analyses and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business initiatives, regulatory submissions, audits, and special projects.
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members while promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with governance standards, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality project and operational outputs by meeting established timelines and quality expectations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience in actuarial analysis, financial modeling, risk assessment, valuation, or related functions.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into meaningful business insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis or reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of actuarial principles, financial concepts, statistical methods, or risk management practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated collaboration, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Progress toward professional actuarial exams, certifications, or relevant credentials is an advantage.
