Advanced Telecommunications Technician Project Lead
Salary: $88,000 – $90,000 per year
Acsess Health Pty Ltd is a national telecommunications carrier specialising in retirement living, aged care, fibre networks, voice services, MATV, CCTV, access control and emergency communications systems.
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Telecommunications Technician to join our growing field services team. This position is classified under the Telecommunications Services Award (MA000041) and is suited to an individual with strong telecommunications installation, coaxial and copper fault-finding and strong fibre optic experience.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing and fault rectification of telecommunications infrastructure across a range of customer sites throughout Victoria and occasionally interstate.
Key duties include:
Lead a small team on various projects reporting directly back to the General Manager
Set the expectation by leading with quality workmanship and efficient time management
Installation, termination and testing of copper telecommunications cabling
Fault finding and rectification of telecommunications services and network infrastructure
Fibre optic installation and maintenance
Fusion splicing of single mode fibre
Installation and management of fibre cassettes, closures and telecommunications pits
Testing and commissioning of fibre optic networks
MATV and HFC television system installation and fault diagnosis
MDF and IDF installations, patching and jumper work
Installation and support of voice, data and IP-based communication systems
Completion of service reports, documentation and compliance records
Participation in an after-hours critical fault roster as required
Who We Are Looking For
This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys solving problems and takes pride in finding the root cause of an issue rather than simply replacing equipment.

Essential Requirements
Minimum 5 years telecommunications industry experience
Proven copper termination and fault-finding capabilities
Strong proven fibre optic experience including fusion splicing of single mode fibre multiple joints/fotbots/cassettes
Minimum 5 years of fibre optic experience required
Experience working with telecommunications pits, conduits and underground infrastructure
Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and installation documentation
Current Open Cabling Registration
Current Australian Driver's Licence
White Card
Police Check
Basic non specialist tools
Australian citizenship required
Desirable Qualifications
Fibre Optic Accreditation
Working at Heights
Experience with GPON, EPON or Active Ethernet networks
Experience with MATV, HFC television systems, CCTV, Access Control or Intercom systems
