Agentic AI Engineer
Work on core systems that make AI agents usable in production, including agent runtimes, orchestration for planning and tool use, reliability, observability, evaluation, cost optimization, and integrations with LLMs, APIs, and external data.
Responsibilities
- Build agent runtimes and orchestration systems for planning, tool use, memory, and coordination
- Improve agent reliability through retries, failure handling, and state management
- Develop observability through tracing, debugging, and evaluation
- Optimize execution for cost and performance
- Make agent systems production-ready and dependable
- Integrate LLMs, APIs, and external data into coherent systems
- Define how developers build, debug, and extend agent behavior
Requirements
- Proven experience shipping production systems
- Experience building or deeply exploring agent systems, LLM pipelines, or autonomous workflows
- Strong backend and systems experience in distributed systems, APIs, or infrastructure
- Proficiency in Python, Go, TypeScript, Rust, or another core language
- Experience with reliability patterns including state management, retries, and observability
- Ability to turn ambiguous problems into working products
- Comfort working across the stack when needed
- Nice to have: experience with agent frameworks, workflow engines, retrieval systems, or vector databases
