Altera Digital Health is seeking a proactive and innovative AI & Automation Analyst to join the Professional Services team. We are seeking an individual with practical experience using modern AI technologies in a professional environment. The successful candidate will help identify, test and implement AI and automation opportunities that improve efficiency, enhance project delivery and support innovation across Professional Services.

As an AI & Automation Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting the adoption of AI by helping improve operational efficiency and project delivery. Your primary focus will be identifying operational bottlenecks and assisting in the creation, deployment, and management of innovative AI & Automation solutions that enhance project delivery and measurement.

This is a hands-on role designed for a systems-thinker who is passionate about applied AI. Rather than just observing, you will be building – designing and supporting AI-enabled workflows, optimising prompt libraries, and maintaining the digital infrastructure that allows our consultants to focus on high-value client strategy. This is a developing role with significant opportunity for growth, offering exposure to transformation initiatives, process optimisation, project delivery activities and emerging AI technologies.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in the initial configuration, testing, and deployment of AI-driven tools designed to streamline healthcare IT operations.
  • Support the evaluation, testing, implementation and ongoing optimisation of AI-enabled solutions.
  • Create, maintain and enhance prompt libraries, AI guidance materials and best practice documentation.
  • Research emerging AI technologies and assess their potential value to the organisation.
  • Support the development of AI-powered workflows that improve productivity, consistency and quality across teams.
  • Act as an advocate for AI and automation, helping colleagues understand and leverage new technologies effectively.
  • Act as an additional resource for Professional Services staff, creating “cheat sheets” and documentation to help them adopt automation best practices.
  • Track and report on efficiency gains, time savings and other measurable benefits resulting from AI and automation initiatives.
  • Assist with project-related administration, reporting and governance activities where required.
  • Adhere to Altera Values

Key Skills

  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering principles and how to generate reliable, high-quality outputs from AI tools.
  • Experience identifying and delivering improvements through AI, automation or digital technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical, technology-enabled outcomes.
  • Confidence working with stakeholders across different teams and levels of the organisation, including the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts (like how a specific automation works) to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.

  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations and data flows beyond a basic level.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related discipline – Preferred
  • 1-2 Years relevant work experience (NHS healthcare, IT or Services project delivery) Preferred
