Summary

Designs analog and mixed-signal circuit blocks for NXP's Battery Management System (BMS) and 48V automotive products — from architecture and schematic through PVT/ESD/EMC verification, layout validation, and lab qualification. Core stack: smart power BiCMOS and high-voltage CMOS with Cadence IC tools.

Job Description

NXP’s Driver & Energy Systems (DES) product line develops Battery Management System (BMS) solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as 48V automotive products. These products support the growing demand for vehicle electrification and must comply with strict performance, safety, and reliability requirements.

DES Product Line fuels NXP’s mixed‑signal battery management and 48V portfolio for automotive and industrial applications. In collaboration with our global design teams, we create application‑specific standard products that combine high‑performance analog functions with advanced high‑voltage CMOS technologies, placing particular emphasis on BMS, robust eFuse solutions, and state‑of‑the‑art Gate Driver architectures.

We are looking for an Analog Design Engineer to support global product development activities.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:

Within a project team, you will be in charge of the design of analog or mixed signal blocks for battery management circuits from architecture to qualification.

You will work in close partnership with Design Architects and thanks to your strong analog design background, you will be able to propose an optimal architecture in term of area, power consumption and performance.

You will have the responsibility of translating a specification into an electrical schematic.

You will create and complete the verification plan of your circuit (PVT, statistical, ESD/EMC & post layout simulations).

You will validate the routing of your circuit at the layout stage.

You will participate to the product debug & validation at lab, and support the qualification up to the product release.

To be able to fulfill your missions, you are able to rely on a strong collaboration within the Design group but also from all the other technical groups within NXP.

Working in a strong technical biased environment, you will develop your competencies and will have the opportunity of evolving in both technical or project responsibilities.

Requirements:

Analog IC design experience

Experience in smart power BiCMOS technologies

Good knowledge of the Cadence IC tools.

Good communication skills (both French and English)

Experience in requirement traceability management and ISO26262
