Analyst/Associate, Technology Finance (Performance Management), Group Finance

Summary

Finance analyst supporting Technology and Support Units at a major bank. Handles month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, recharges, intercompany billings, and reconciliations, plus direct billing system enhancements and UAT support.

Job Responsibilities

As part of the Performance Management (PM) team, you will support finance operations and month-end activities for Technology and Support Units. You will assist in processing journals, accruals, recharges, intercompany billings, and reconciliations while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with established controls.

You will also support direct billing BAU activities, including data validation, system processing, preparation of outputs for stakeholder review, and accrual instructions. In addition, you will participate in requirement gathering, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and post-deployment verification for direct billing system enhancements. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to support operational activities, data consolidation, ad-hoc analysis, and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support month-end activities, including journal entries, accruals, recharges, eliminations, and intercompany billings.

  • Maintain and reconcile Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and supporting records.

  • Consolidate and validate data from multiple Finance systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Perform direct billing BAU activities, including price and quantity data validation, triggering engine runs, preparing outputs for stakeholder socialisation, and supporting accrual processes.

  • Assist in gathering business requirements for direct billing system enhancements and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Conduct post-deployment business verification and prepare project, testing, and operational artefacts.

  • Support ad-hoc analysis, operational requests, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks and compliance with established procedures.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in IT finance or project accounting.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.

  • Meticulous and detail-oriented with a strong aptitude for numbers.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; a collaborative team player.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Hyperion Essbase. Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and SQL macros is a plus.
