Area Credit Manager - Warangal

The Area Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all credit operations within the Warangal region, ensuring adherence to credit policies, minimizing risk, and supporting business growth.

Job Responsibilities:**
* Manage the end-to-end credit assessment and underwriting process for new and existing customers in the Warangal area, including individual and corporate clients.
* Lead and mentor a team of credit officers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
* Ensure timely and accurate credit appraisals, financial analysis, and risk assessments for loan applications.
* Monitor portfolio performance, identify potential credit risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
* Collaborate with sales and business development teams to achieve regional sales targets while maintaining credit quality.
* Develop and implement local credit policies and procedures in line with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
* Conduct regular field visits to assess customer credibility, collateral, and market conditions.
* Manage delinquent accounts, initiate recovery efforts, and work with legal teams as necessary.
* Prepare and present credit reports and analyses to senior management.
* Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting credit operations.

Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in credit management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within the financial services or banking sector.
* Proven track record of managing a credit portfolio and achieving credit quality targets.
* Strong understanding of financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit underwriting principles.
* Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team.
* Proficiency in credit management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
* Fluency in English and Telugu is required.
* Deep knowledge of the Warangal market and local economic conditions.
