Asphalt Plant Operator/Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Operate a hot mix asphalt plant efficiently to obtain all production goals

· Move raw aggregate and liquid asphalt materials through the mixing drum to be stored in silos until ready for delivery to the job sites or to be loaded into trucks

· Operate the plant computer systems

· Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure a quality mix is being produced

· Assist the foreman and superintendents with material ordering, scheduling, inventory management, and record keeping

· Effectively communicate with road crews, drivers, dispatchers, and external customers

· Schedule and perform daily/weekly/monthly/annual plant maintenance

· Order and maintain inventory of plant parts, grease, asphalt oil

· Supervise and set expectations for plant employees

· Supervise daily activities and ensure safety policies are being followed at the plant

· Adhere to OSHA rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment.

· Perform other job responsibilities as assigned
