Assistant Manager Technical Development

Job Description:

• Develop department targets in order to meet the overall Company objectives.
• Review/Approve technical, safety and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) documents related to technical transfers and operations.
• Support process chemists’ activities to ensure safe and stable production, and full compliance to regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with other internal departments and/or external resources as needed.
• Initiate improvements to optimise existing manufacturing processes under full compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practice(cGMP).
• Work closely with researchers in headquarters (Japan) to ensure the completion of technical transfers of new products.
• Support production planning from technical aspects.
• Coordinate key raw material procurement from technical aspects.

Requirements:

• Must have process knowledge about pharmaceutical intermediates and relevant technical transfer processes.
• Minimum Master degree in Chemistry or equivalent (major in organic synthesis is preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior researcher or senior process chemist/engineer in a manufacturing company of pharmaceutical intermediates.
