Assistant Manager, Volunteer Management & Partnerships
The role reports to the Head, Communication & Engagement and Head, Strategic Partnerships(Fundraising) and works with stakeholders (including of Board & Committee) to conceptualise and execute communications and engagement plans (both internal and external comms) in support of CHIJSC key focus areas.
The role will be responsible for enhancing and/or developing (where applicable) a volunteer management framework to foster strategic and sustainable collaboration with partners and corporates to support the CHIJSC mission. Ensure that we have a pool of volunteers who are able to contribute their skills and talent aligned to our Vision and Mission to serve our beneficiaries.
The role will also entail supporting donor management and the Fundraising Committee where needed, ensuring CHIJSC is achieving its charitable purposes.
Responsibilities include:
1. Volunteer Management
· Manage and develop volunteer and partnership strategies, policies and practices to assist in the delivery of the organisation’s programmes and services.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships and direct engagement with volunteers.
· Measure and provide updates on volunteering initiatives to align with the organisation’s strategic thrusts and vision towards working with-in empowered communities
· Review strategy and implement plans for Volunteer recruitment, on-boarding and on-going engagement of volunteers
· Monitor and evaluate volunteer activities to ensure effectiveness.
· Study emerging trends and behaviours to improve the volunteering experience with CHIJSC
· Review and Manage Volunteer Database
· Regular engagement with volunteers and timely acknowledgement, recognition, and appreciation
· Work with NVPC and management to develop a robust volunteer management system to track database, volunteer deployment, projects undertaken and maintain sustainable volunteer relationships.
2. Partnership and Engagement
· Manage all engagement and communications to drive recruitment, Student Care enrolment and outreach efforts
· Identify and drive effective partnerships with schools, corporates, grassroots and other organisations
3. Donor Management
· Attend to donations-in-kind enquiries and offers(Excluding cash donations i.e. cash, cheques, money orders, vouchers)
· Prompt screening and response of donations-in-kind offers for suitability and need
· Oversee donations-in-kind receipt and acknowledgement
· Arranging the donations for distribution to the relevant beneficiaries
· Maintenance of Donation-In-Kind database and files
· Review Donor List to evaluate engagement level needed
· Review avenues for Donations and how these are tracked and how donors are sent acknowledgement letters or receipts.
4. Content Creation and Production of Collaterals/ Evaluation and Monitoring
· Assist in Content creation and distribution – develop, write, edit and product contact to engage and educate public/stakeholders various channels, incl. newsletter, website, social media and engagement collaterals.
· Support to oversee production of collaterals, incl. annual report, factsheet, boilerplate, service brochures, newsletters, videos and materials related to CHIJSC.
· Support Head to evaluate Target Segments and mode of communications
· Track and regularly assess ROI on effectiveness of media campaigns for our Programmes or Services offered.
Requirements:
· Bachelors Degree, preferably in communications or relevant discipline.
· At least 3 years in similar capacity, preferablyworking experiences in a charity/non-profit environment and volunteer management experience.
· Prior experience in communications or campaigns will be an advantage.
