Summary of Position:
The overall responsibility of an Assistant Manager is to support the General Manager in overseeing and coordinating the daily planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve the stated objectives in sales, costs, service and profitability. The Assistant Manager is a key leader on the restaurant team and is expected to help set the expectation for all team members to work together, maximize productivity, and ensure the company’s Non-Negotiables are adhered to on all shifts.
The Assistant Manager is a hands-on leader who leads by example and supports the General Manager in creating a positive, productive and team-oriented environment. When the General Manager is not present, the Assistant Manager is responsible for leading the restaurant and ensuring World Wrapps’ vision, values and standards are maintained on every shift.
Position Description:
Support the General Manager in managing and planning for all restaurant operations as if World Wrapps the business is your own. Maintain the highest quality standards for food, service, health and safety. Assist in ensuring the efficient and profitable performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of staff and resources. Guide your team to always follow the Non-Negotiables; it is what makes the Company unique.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $27/hr ($23 base plus $4-$5/hr in tips)
- Performance Bonus opportunities - Up to 10% of annual salary
- 80 hours of annual PTO
- Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance will be provided. World Wrapps employer contribution will be based on 100% for the employee and 50% for the employee’s dependents on the company’s base health plan.

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in managing sales and profitability while maintaining the highest quality food, service, health & safety standards
- Lead daily restaurant operations and ensure all team members are following WW procedures and standards
- Open and close the restaurant according to company standards and procedures
- Oversee and lead shifts to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest service
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating and coaching team members
- Provide ongoing training and coaching so the team consistently follows WW procedures/standards
- Help create a positive, professional and team-oriented work environment
- Interact with guests, offer advice on menu choices, and effectively handle guest inquiries/issues
- Assist the GM with staff scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing levels throughout the week
- Monitor labor and productivity during shifts and make adjustments as needed
- Support the execution of successful marketing programs, promotions and guest communication within the restaurant
- Cultivate opportunities to grow the Catering Program
- Manage the quality and accuracy of daily delivery orders from multiple catering channels
- Partner with the GM and KM to oversee food/beverage prep & presentation, and recipe adherence
- Assist with the delivery, storage, and quality of all restaurant food & supplies
- Assist with inventory management and cost control
- Ensure accurate cash handling and daily reconciliation procedures are followed
- Ensure team is following all health, safety and security procedures
- Maintain the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and property
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition
- Communicate equipment maintenance, repairs and service needs to the GM
- Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, team members and vendors
- Act as an influential Brand Ambassador within the local community
- Fill in where needed to maintain guest service standards and efficient operations
- Assume responsibility for the restaurant in the absence of the General Manager
- Prepare all required paperwork in an organized and timely manner
- Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years previous experience in food and beverage or restaurant operations
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Working knowledge of food preparation and presentation
- Experience with staff training, coaching and team building
- Basic understanding of inventory and cost control
- Experience with staff scheduling and managing labor
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of administrative procedures that pertain to managing a restaurant
- Adept at using relevant computer applications
- Manager ServSafe Certified or ability to obtain certification
