Job purpose:
Prepare credit proposals and monitor credit exposures to financial institutions and sovereign entities within the UAE and international markets. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates and internal risk policies, while processing KYC, onboarding, and operational coordination.
Principal accountabilities:
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals for local and international financial institution counterparties.
- Assess country risk, sovereign risk, and regulatory environment.
- Structure funded and non-funded facilities.
- Conduct annual and interim credit reviews.
- Monitor exposure, track covenants, and early warning indicators.
- Ensure complete KYC documentation in line with UAE AML/CFT regulations.
- Maintain proper records to satisfy internal audit and regulatory inspections.
- Liaise with Operations for limit setup and system input.
- Coordinate with Legal for documentation such as facility agreements and guarantees.
- Ensure timely execution of credit documentation.
- Work closely with relationship managers, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, and Operations teams.
- Assist in preparation of management and regulatory reports.
