Technical Product Specialist
Your Job
Are you technically curious and interested in understanding how products move from customer need to engineering concept, launch and commercial success?
We are looking for a Technical Product Specialist to join our global Product Management team supporting copper and fiber connectivity solutions.
This is an opportunity for someone with a technical or engineering background, including a recent graduate, who wants to build a career in Product Management.
You don't need years of Product Management experience. We're looking for someone who can understand technology, work with data, ask good questions and turn information into action.
Our Team
You will be part of Molex’s Connected Enterprise Solutions business unit, focused on delivering end-to-end copper and fiber infrastructure that powers enterprise buildings and data centers.
We value principled entrepreneurs, individuals who combine ownership, initiative, and sound judgment to drive results and create long-term value.
What You Will Do
- Work alongside Product Managers on the roadmap for copper and fiber connectivity solutions, helping translate customer and market needs into product priorities
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept through launch, working with Engineering, Sales, Operations and Supply Chain
- Gather customer and field feedback and help convert it into clear product and technical requirements
- Analyze product performance, including revenue, growth, margin and portfolio trends, and identify areas requiring further investigation
- Research competitor products, technologies and market developments to help identify opportunities and support product positioning
- Support pricing and business-case analysis for products and customer opportunities.
- Build knowledge of copper and fiber connectivity technologies and use that understanding to help position Molex solutions around reliability, ease of deployment and total cost of ownership
- Drive actions and follow-ups across cross-functional projects, ensuring key product initiatives continue to move forward
- Contribute to portfolio improvement initiatives covering cost, quality, product performance and portfolio optimization.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Business or a related discipline
- Technically curious and comfortable learning how products and systems work
- Analytical and comfortable working with data to understand business and product performance
- Interested in understanding how technical product decisions influence customers, revenue, margin and growth
- Able to organize information, identify what matters and communicate conclusions clearly
- Comfortable working across Engineering, Sales, Operations and Supply Chain in an international environment
- Proactive and willing to take ownership of actions rather than simply track them.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Degree or coursework in electrical, electronics, telecommunications, network engineering or a related technical discipline
- Exposure to Product Management, NPI, engineering, project work or technical sales
- Familiarity with fiber optics, copper connectivity, structured cabling, networking or data-center infrastructure
- Experience using Excel, Power BI or similar tools to analyze data
- Curiosity about technology, customers and markets; and the ambition to grow into broader Product Management responsibility
- Comprehensive medical care to support your health and well-being.
- Group insurance with a significant portion covered by the employer.
- Subsidised Medicover Sport card to help you stay active.
- Employee benefits through the Company Social Benefits Fund (ZFŚS).
