About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Lead to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. In this leadership role, you will guide technical teams, drive cloud strategy, ensure best practices across public cloud environments, and deliver high-impact solutions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in Azure services with strong leadership skills to mentor teams and manage complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture and design of end-to-end cloud solutions implemented on Microsoft Azure, ensuring alignment with business requirements, scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization.
Define technical direction, roadmaps, and best practices for cloud migrations, hybrid environments, and modern application development using Azure services.
Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineers, architects, developers, and cross-functional teams.
Oversee the implementation of solutions across various cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), including compute, storage, networking, identity, security, and monitoring.
Design and implement integration solutions using Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, and related integration patterns.
Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to translate business needs into secure, resilient Azure architectures following the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
Drive cloud-native development practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps methodologies.
Evaluate emerging Azure services and technologies to recommend innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and business value.
Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards in cloud environments.
Lead troubleshooting, performance optimization, and incident resolution for production Azure workloads.
Manage project delivery timelines, risks, and dependencies while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
12+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering, with 5+ years focused on Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments.
Strong expertise in public cloud concepts and cloud service models ( ).
Deep hands-on knowledge of core Azure services: Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Storage (Blob, File, Disk), Virtual Network, Azure AD/Entra ID, Key Vault, Monitor, Sentinel, and more.
Proven experience with Azure API Management and Logic Apps for building secure APIs and workflows.
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, Go, PowerShell, and Bash for automation, development, and infrastructure management.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., ARM Templates, Bicep, Terraform) and DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, identity management, disaster recovery, and cost governance.
Prior experience leading technical teams, conducting code/design reviews, and mentoring engineers.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure DevOps Engineer, or equivalent are highly preferred.
