JOB OVERVIEW
Plan A Technologies is looking for a skilled and versatile Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain the core server-side logic of our applications. In this role, you will act as a generalist backend engineer, focusing on creating high-performance microservices, optimizing database performance, and ensuring seamless data flow. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate technical requirements into robust, production-ready code.
Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience developing with Go (Golang) and Node.js to be considered for this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend services and APIs.
Build high-performance, scalable microservices and define efficient communication protocols.
Design, optimize, and maintain relational database schemas, ensuring data integrity and query efficiency.
Identify system bottlenecks, optimize application performance, and ensure the high availability of core services.
Partner alongside frontend developers, product managers, and other engineering stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience professionally developing with Go (Golang) and Node.js.
Strong experience building high-performance microservices and defining efficient RPC protocols using gRPC.
Proven experience working with relational databases, schema design, and query optimization using PostgreSQL.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Initiative and drive to do great things.
