Backend Engineer

Design and implement scalable solutions integrating August infrastructure with third-party DeFi protocols. Parse smart contract functions and transactions, build backend pricing services, develop Python microservices, design PostgreSQL data models, and collaborate across engineering and sales trading teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable backend systems in a Python microservice architecture.
• Integrate infrastructure with third-party DeFi protocols on-chain.
• Parse smart contract functions and transactions.
• Implement backend pricing services.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate blockchain and traditional finance systems.
• Write clean, Pythonic, testable code using appropriate design patterns.
• Design and implement data models and storage systems using PostgreSQL.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency with design patterns, OOP in Python, and microservice architectures.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of blockchain and traditional finance systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
