Backend Engineer (Java)
Join Bleap to develop backend services for an onchain financial platform. The role focuses on payment integrations, mobile and web APIs, ledger-blockchain integration, CI/CD and security infrastructure, technical architecture, and maintainable test-driven engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Integrate third-party providers for card issuing, card acquiring, and banking payment flows
- Build APIs for mobile and web applications
- Support integration of the in-house ledger with the blockchain
- Maintain the CI/CD pipeline and security infrastructure
- Work closely with Product to ship quickly and iterate frequently
- Help define the platform technical roadmap and architecture
- Establish high-quality, maintainable, and test-driven code standards
- Take ownership of projects and drive them
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend experience
- Fluency in Java
- Experience with Java 24, AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, Spring Boot, and Hibernate
- Based in Europe or able to work in European time zones
