Backend Engineer Markets

You build and maintain automation pipelines for market creation, configuration, lifecycle updates, and resolution across thousands of markets. You integrate external data sources, design reliable and idempotent systems, debug production failures, review code, and participate in design discussions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation pipelines for market creation, parameter configuration, and lifecycle updates
• Integrate sports APIs, news feeds, and other external data sources
• Design reliable and idempotent pipelines with safe re-runs, monitoring, and alerting
• Contribute to market resolution systems
• Debug production failures
• Review code and participate in design discussions

Requirements

• 1–4 years of professional backend engineering experience or equivalent evidence
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or Go
• Third-party API integration and real-world data integration experience
• Evidence of shipping production software or running personal projects
• Comfort with AI-native development tools
• Ownership mindset
• Comfort with Linux and cloud tooling
• Queues, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or workflow engines are a plus
• Interest in prediction markets, sports, or trading is a plus
