Role Background
The BG Technology, Adoption & Value Manager acts as an adoption lead for business group teams, helping them rethink how work gets done through technology, data and AI. Working at the intersection of business, technology and transformation, the role partners with BG and BU teams to identify opportunities, remove friction and accelerate outcomes.
This is a hands-on, high-trust role focused on turning emerging technologies into practical improvements in productivity, decision quality, execution excellence and business impact. The role helps ensure change sticks by driving adoption, building capability, generating actionable insights and making value visible across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business teams to identify high-friction processes and opportunities for AI, automation and digital enablement.
- Prototype and demonstrate AI-enabled solutions that improve productivity, insight generation and execution quality.
- Act as a technology translator between business teams and product, domain and transformation teams.
- Design and deploy adoption interventions that embed AI, automation and digital capabilities into day-to-day workflows.
- Identify adoption barriers and create practical interventions to increase usage, confidence and business outcomes.
- Scale successful AI use cases, agents, automation patterns and digital capabilities across business units.
- Refine adoption and value measurement frameworks linked to strategic outcomes.
- Generate insights, scorecards and dashboards that help leaders prioritise initiatives and accelerate business impact.
- Design learning journeys, knowledge resources and onboarding experiences connected to real business challenges.
- Facilitate communities of practice to strengthen collaboration, sharing and cross-functional problem solving.
- Capture, package and communicate impact stories that make technology outcomes visible, reusable and actionable.
Key Skills
- Strong technology, data and AI literacy with hands-on experience applying these tools in business workflows.
- Understanding of agentic AI patterns, workflow automation, AI assistants, copilots and analytics tools.
- Ability to move quickly from problem framing to practical solution design and demonstration.
- Strong business partnering skills with experience working directly with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to simplify ambiguity, challenge current ways of working and prioritise based on value unlock potential.
- Change adoption and behaviour change expertise, including coaching teams to adopt and extend solutions independently.
- Capability-building experience, including creating learning content, communities and practical enablement resources.
- Strong storytelling and communications skills, with the ability to translate technology outcomes into compelling business narratives.
- Commercial judgement, curiosity and a focus on speed to value rather than perfect architecture.
