BI Developer
Summary
BI Developer owning ForestOne's core BI environment: designing and maintaining Power BI reports on Microsoft Fabric, building Jedox planning models, and sourcing data from the Infor CloudSuite M3 ERP, while piloting agentic AI for BI development and maintenance.
About the role
You'll sit within ForestOne IT, the internal technology team supporting our distribution business nationally, and own our core BI environment. Power BI reporting on Microsoft Fabric, sourced largely from our Infor CloudSuite M3 ERP, and our Jedox planning models. You'll keep it running well and keep improving it: cleaner data models, faster reporting cycles, and better self-service for the warehouses and business teams who rely on it. You'll also help pilot agentic AI approaches to BI development and maintenance, working out where they genuinely save time.
Key responsibilities
Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports used across the business
Develop and manage data models, pipelines and datasets in Microsoft Fabric, including extracting and modelling data from our Infor CloudSuite M3 ERP
Build and maintain planning, budgeting and forecasting models in Jedox
Partner directly with stakeholders to turn business questions into reliable BI solutions
Evaluate and pilot agentic AI tools to speed up BI development, testing and maintenance
Own data quality, documentation and governance for the BI assets you build
Provide ad hoc analysis to support decisions across departments
About you
Experience building reports and data models in Power BI, including DAX
Experience writing SQL and working with relational databases
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or a similar modern data platform
Experience gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translating them into BI deliverables
Comfortable owning a piece of work end to end, from data source to finished report
Experience with Jedox or another EPM/planning and forecasting platform
Experience reporting from an ERP system (e.g. Infor, SAP, Dynamics, Oracle) — Infor CloudSuite M3 experience highly regarded
Hands-on experience with, or strong curiosity about, agentic AI and AI-assisted development tools
Broader Azure data services experience (Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL)
Experience in a similar industry or a comparable IT/BI team
