Blockchain Engineer
Join the Infrastructure & Platform team to develop highly reliable, scalable blockchain services and mission-critical core infrastructure for multi-asset margin systems built around Hyperliquid.
Responsibilities
- Develop storage layers, execution engines, transaction pools, gossip protocols, and state-machine replication.
- Implement, harden, and extend consensus algorithms for safety, liveness, and performance.
- Profile CPU, memory, I/O, and network stacks and optimize bottlenecks.
- Integrate cryptographic primitives including hashing, Merkle proofs, digital signatures, encryption, key exchange, and proof systems.
- Design peer discovery, NAT traversal, connection pooling, load balancing, congestion control, TLS, and multiplexed transports.
Requirements
- 2+ years building blockchain distributed systems and consensus engines.
- Expert proficiency in Rust and other low-level languages.
- Deep understanding of PBFT, HotStuff, and Tendermint consensus protocols.
- Strong cryptography fundamentals, including hashing, Merkle trees, multisignatures, and elliptic-curve cryptography.
- Solid TCP, UDP, QUIC, peer discovery, and NAT traversal experience.
- Experience with key-value stores such as RocksDB and MDBX.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
