Bodyshop Manager - Automotive
- Manage day-to-day body shop operations, including scheduling, workflow, and production control
- Supervise and lead body shop technicians, painters, estimators, and support staff
- Ensure all collision and body repairs meet dealership, OEM, and insurance company standards
- Review and approve repair estimates, supplements, and final invoices
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters and vendors to ensure timely approvals and parts availability
- Monitor cycle time, productivity, quality, and profitability of body shop operations
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and paint systems
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
- Handle customer concerns, complaints, and follow-ups to ensure high satisfaction levels
- Control costs, manage inventory, and minimize waste and rework
- Ensure accurate documentation, billing, and record-keeping
- Support training, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred)
- Proficiency in dealership management software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- 5+ years of automotive body shop or collision repair experience.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and warehouse workflows
- Experience using DMS systems
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
