Business Analyst (AI)

This role offers the opportunity to shape the responsible adoption of AI across an organisation dedicated to social services. You will identify where AI can address genuine operational challenges, guide prototypes from concept to deployment, and support public officers in using approved tools safely and confidently.

You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, contribute to AI governance and strategy, and evaluate the impact of initiatives, offering a meaningful opportunity to drive digital transformation and strengthen organisational AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify business challenges, workflow gaps, and process improvement opportunities where AI and automation can deliver measurable value.

• Evaluate potential AI use cases across business functions and assess their suitability for implementation.

• Create and refine AI proof-of-concepts and prototypes to demonstrate practical applications and encourage wider adoption.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the successful integration and rollout of AI-enabled solutions.

• Assess the effectiveness of implemented AI initiatives and recommend opportunities to scale successful solutions across the organisation.

• Facilitate workshops and engagement sessions to strengthen AI literacy and increase awareness of approved AI tools and solutions.

• Guide stakeholders on the safe, responsible, and effective use of AI, including generative AI, within day-to-day business activities.

• Measure and communicate the impact of AI initiatives, including productivity improvements, efficiency gains, and potential cost savings.

• Contribute to the development of longer-term AI adoption strategies, governance practices, and responsible-use approaches.

• Establish reusable standards, frameworks, documentation, and learning resources to support consistent and sustainable AI adoption.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in information technology, computer science, data analytics, business, or a related discipline.

• 2–4 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, AI advocate, innovation practitioner, or in a similar technology-focused role, preferably with exposure to AI adoption or innovation initiatives.

• Solid knowledge of large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, LLM-based application development, practical AI use cases, and associated risks.

• Familiarity with evolving AI regulations and guidelines; Python programming capability and exposure to cloud deployment of machine learning models or LLMs are preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences; public-sector experience is advantageous.
