Business Analyst (Apps)
Summary
The Business Analyst connects business and technology teams in a government ICT environment, gathering and negotiating requirements, mapping processes and data, designing application workflows, testing implementations, and coordinating vendors while managing security compliance, incidents, change, and risk.
The Business Analyst (AppsServices) acts as the link between business needs and technology solutions. Therole works closely with business owners, project managers, solution architects,technical services consultants and the security team to support the successfulimplementation, delivery and maintenance of IT solutions. The role alsooversees the governance of the agency’s applications, including requirementsgathering, database and application requirements, application and solutiondesign, mock-ups such as wireframes, workflows and data or informationarchitecture, process mapping, data analysis, stakeholder liaison, testing andimplementation, incident and problem management, change management, and risk assessmentand management.
[What you will be working on]
· Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to identify business needs and gather requirements
· Analyse data and processes toidentify opportunities for improvement
· Create and maintain projectdocumentation, including functional specifications and business process models
· Develop and execute test plans to ensure that new functionality meets business requirements
· Facilitate communication between technical and business teams to ensure understanding of business requirements and technical constraints
· Participate in project planning and tracking, including creating project plans, managing timelines, and communicating project status and risks to stakeholders
· Develop and deliver training to end users on new functionality
· Review proposals from suppliers
· Review, clarify and negotiate business requirements with suppliers
· Plan and lead the development of the business case for the ICT system
· Identify potential project risks and its implication to the organisationand to recommend mitigating measures so as to manage the risks
· Effectively engage and manage the vendors to deliver ICT solutions andservices
· Understand the IT management policy and security guidelines to ensurethe development processes, procedures and system are designed to comply withthese policies and guidelines
· Any other duties that may beassigned.
