Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the successful transition of the QSS SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA Public Cloud solution. You will work collaboratively within the Finance Modernisation Project team, analysing current finance processes, identify gaps and opportunities, support data migration activities, facilitating communication between stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives, and providing insights to optimise processes and solutions throughout the project lifecycle, while reporting directly to the Project Manager.

Key skills and abilities:
- Demonstrate strong skills in business analysis to ensure all project deliverables, milestones, and reporting requirements are met within agreed timeframes and budgets, with a focus on aligning business processes with the S/4HANA Public Cloud transition.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end business process mapping and transformation with major ERP systems such as SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ECC 6.0, SAP FICO, Concur, or Ariba and a strong knowledge of finance processes and controls.
- Establish clear plans for analysing and documenting AS-IS and TO-BE business processes, ensuring alignment with Whole of Government finance standards. Prioritise effort to ensure activities such as data mapping, configuration reviews, and process re-engineering are coordinated, timely, and consider both internal and external stakeholder needs. Respond in a positive and flexible manner to change and uncertainty, sharing information with others to assist them in adapting.
- Clearly communicate to stakeholders the purpose and significance of the standardised nature of S/4HANA and focus on how the new system will impact and transform existing business processes, ensuring finance stakeholders understand the expected outcomes and benefits

While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, the following qualifications and experience are highly
desirable:
- Relevant Business Analyst certification (e.g.: CBAP)
- Project delivery experience using PRINCE2, Agile and/or other project management methodologies
- Significant work experience with large scale/complex IT projects and/or S/4HANA implementations
- Experience in finance management and finance services delivery
