Summary
Lead a structured end-to-end diagnostic review of a disaster grants assessment process for a Queensland Government agency (QRIDA), applying Lean Six Sigma to map workflows, analyse throughput, identify root causes, and deliver executive-level recommendations and improvement roadmaps.
Salary: No contractor fees / two pay runs per week

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Business Analyst Lead. In this role, you will provide high-level strategic and operational improvement leadership to lead a structured diagnostic review of the disaster grants assessment process from initiation through to executive reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end diagnostic approaches, defining review scope, methodology, evidence requirements, and quality standards.
Apply Lean Six Sigma or comparable methodologies to analyze workflow performance, throughput variation, and root causes of inefficiency, rework, or delays.
Direct process mapping, file reviews, and quantitative/qualitative data analysis while supervising and guiding the Improvement Specialist.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and review sessions with operational teams and subject matter experts to validate evidence and test findings.
Synthesize complex analysis to develop practical, prioritized, and implementation-ready recommendations and improvement roadmaps.
Prepare and present authoritative, high-quality executive reports, presentations, and advice to senior leadership.
Ensure all diagnostic review activities adhere to QRIDA governance, privacy, confidentiality, and risk management standards.
About You:
Senior Improvement Leadership: Demonstrated senior-level experience leading end-to-end diagnostic reviews, process improvement initiatives, or operational performance reviews in complex service delivery environments.
Formal certification in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt level or above, IASSC or equivalent) or a comparable process improvement methodology.
Proven practitioner skills in root cause assessment, options development, prioritization, implementation roadmap planning, and time-and-motion/complexity analysis.
Advanced communication, negotiation, and workshop facilitation skills, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders and managing competing perspectives.
High-volume operational experience in grants administration, claims processing, lending assessment, or public sector/regulated service delivery environments.
