Business Analyst/Product Owner
Summary
Business Analyst/Product Owner role in Singapore owning the product roadmap, backlog, user stories and acceptance criteria while partnering with architects and stakeholders to ship digital products; requires Agile, SDLC, ERP familiarity and preference for shipping/logistics background.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Leads and key stakeholders to ensure the product roadmap supports business objectives, converting business needs and technical insights into viable product initiatives.
- Validate business requirements through research, data analysis, and experimentation, ensuring proposed solutions are practical, cost-effective, and deliver measurable value.
- Define and manage roadmap scope, break approved initiatives into well-structured epics, and prepare effort estimates and business cases for stakeholder endorsement.
- Lead solution conceptualization and user journey design, facilitating reviews and refinements to ensure alignment with the product strategy.
- Develop detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that address business goals, technical considerations, security, and other non-functional requirements.
- Balance feature development with technical debt and architectural priorities, making informed trade-offs while safeguarding critical system requirements.
- Ensure backlog items are well-defined and development-ready, validate completed deliverables, support UAT activities, and drive release readiness decisions.
- Establish success metrics before implementation and evaluate post-release performance data to identify enhancement opportunities and support continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with architects, project teams, and subject matter experts throughout the product lifecycle, maintaining product documentation, business rules, and post-launch feedback processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Analysis, or a similar discipline. Candidates with significant experience may be considered for management-level roles.
- Demonstrated success in working with both business and technical stakeholders to deliver digital solutions and products.
- Strong knowledge of product backlog management, roadmap planning, user story development, acceptance criteria definition, business process analysis, product performance measurement, Agile methodologies, SDLC, system integrations, and non-functional requirements.
- Experience within the shipping or logistics industry is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, facilitation, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms and systems is highly desirable
