Business Analyst
Summary
Business Analyst (APS6 equivalent) embedded with a large Federal Government Department covering agriculture, forestry, trade and biosecurity. Day-to-day work centres on producing procurement-ready artefacts, RFQs, current/future-state process maps, and data/integration documentation for digital capability initiatives. Requires Baseline Security Clearance and Visio-level process modelling skills.
Salary: $100.00 - $120.00 p/hr inc. Super + weekly pays

Our client, a large Federal Government Department, who enhance agriculture industries, forestry, trade and biosecurity require the services of a Business Analyst (APS6 equivalent).
Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:
- Develop procurement-ready artefacts and supporting documentation required to progress ICT governance, investment approvals, procurement planning and the development of a Request for Quote (RFQ) for future digital capabilities;
- Document data retention, records management and compliance obligations with departmental ICT information management and cyber security policies;
- Completing and validating current-state process maps across livestock, non-livestock and genetics export functions;
- Identifying current and future digital touchpoints and system integration requirements.
Skille required:
- Demonstrated experience undertaking business analysis activities in complex government, regulatory, compliance, or service delivery environments, including, analysis, validation and documentation of business, functional and non-functional requirements;
- Proven experience developing and validating current-state and future-state business process maps across multiple stakeholder groups, business units and technology platforms, using Visio or equivalent process modelling tools and methodologies;
- Demonstrated experience conducting data mapping, data flow analysis, and documenting system interactions, integrations, dependencies, data ownership, validation requirements and reporting needs to support digital solution design and delivery.
