Business Analyst (SharePoint)
Summary
Business Analyst supporting SharePoint Online migration and governance for an IT-industry client on a 1-year contract — gathering requirements, defining information architecture/permissions, and coordinating vendors, testing, and stakeholders.
Our esteemed client in the IT industry is seeking a Business Analyst (SharePoint) to join their dynamic team:
- Employment Type: 1-year renewable contract
- Position: Business Analyst (SharePoint)
- Location: Central
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours
- Salary Package: Up to $9,200 + Bonus
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead/ support SharePoint Online migration planning, including assessment of sites, content, permissions, workflows and information architecture.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into functional requirements, solution options and acceptance criteria.
- Define and improve SharePoint governance, including site ownership, permissions, content lifecycle and access management.
- Work closely with vendors to review solution designs, migration plans, deliverables, timelines and risks.
- Coordinate testing, migration validation, cutover and post-implementation activities.
- Engage stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve collaboration, document management and information sharing.
- Support SharePoint BAU activities, including incidents, enhancements, changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare recommendations, risk assessments, project updates and documentation for stakeholders and management.
Job Requirements:
- Proven hands-on experience with SharePoint Online beyond basic end-user usage.
- Experience in SharePoint or document repository migration, including planning, testing and validation.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint sites, document libraries, metadata, permissions, navigation and information architecture.
- Experience gathering business requirements and working with technical teams and external vendors.
- Experience in IT governance, risk, security or compliance is advantageous.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Power Automate or PowerApps is a plus.
