Business Development Lead/ Manager (APAC)
Job Description:
- Formulate and implement BU business plans and strategies aligned with overall company goals.
- Take full ownership of BU P&L, revenue objectives, forecasting accuracy, and profitability metrics.
- Monitor market developments, establish product and solution positioning, and identify new business growth opportunities.
- Conduct regular business reviews and provide performance updates to senior management.
- Develop strategic key accounts and broaden the overall customer base.
- Provide guidance and support to sales engineers in pre-sales engagements, solution development, proposals, and commercial negotiations.
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships to ensure business continuity and customer confidence.
- Address and resolve critical commercial and delivery-related matters to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Manage and oversee product lifecycle strategies and planning.
- Collaborate with suppliers, principals, and technical teams to ensure product offerings are aligned with market requirements.
- Review product cost structures, establish appropriate pricing strategies, and monitor margin performance.
- Facilitate product training and knowledge-sharing sessions for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, QA, and Procurement teams across Singapore, Malaysia, and China.
- Assist in planning assembly activities, supplier localization initiatives, and technical builds as required.
- Ensure BU operations and processes adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, develop, and assess BU team members to enhance individual and team performance.
- Assign responsibilities effectively and ensure individual objectives are aligned with overall BU goals.
- Promote a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented team environment.
- Develop succession plans and nurture potential future leaders within the BU.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related fields.
Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, including leadership experience.
