Business Development & Partnerships Associate
This role expands Jia’s growth in the Philippines by working with SME clients, business owners, CFOs, and ecosystem partners. The associate will lead sales and partnership activities, onboard and enable partners, monitor performance, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve financing outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Identify and build relationships with SME networks and ecosystem partners
- Engage decision-makers to explore and negotiate collaboration opportunities
- Pitch financing solutions and co-develop partnership agreements
- Represent Jia at events and forums
- Lead the full sales cycle from sourcing leads to closing deals
- Source high-potential SMEs and manage a client pipeline
- Onboard and support partners, including training and enablement
- Build lead pipelines through outreach and referrals
- Analyze loan production, repayment behavior, and partner impact
- Conduct performance reviews and provide actionable insights
- Collaborate with marketing on referral and visibility campaigns
- Coordinate with operations on onboarding and servicing
- Provide product and engineering feedback
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in partnerships, business development, sales, or client-facing roles
- Proven B2B sales and deal-closing track record
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to use performance data to inform strategy
- Deep understanding of SME cashflow and working capital challenges
- Experience onboarding and enabling partners, including training
- A local network of SME clients in the Philippines is preferred
- Comfort working independently in fast-paced startup environments
- Resilient, proactive, and strong communication skills
- Experience in fintech, lending, or SME-focused industries is preferred
