Business Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all automotive dealership accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), DMV processing, and deal posting
- Manage and mentor a team of 4–6 office staff and accounting professionals
- Partner directly with the CFO and General Manager on financial strategy and operational execution
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and dealership regulations
- Maintain accurate and organized deal jackets, contracts, and financial documentation
- Oversee cash management, reconciliations, and flooring schedules
- Perform bank reconciliations, schedule reviews, and tax filings
- Drive cost control, margin improvement, and financial accuracy across the dealership
- Support leadership with financial analysis and reporting insights
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of automotive dealership accounting experience
- Prior experience as a Business Office Manager (BOM) required
- Strong knowledge of automotive accounting processes and compliance requirements
- Proven leadership experience managing office/accounting teams
- High-level proficiency in financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) preferred (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK)
