Casemanager
Do you get energy from complex absence cases and finding sustainable solutions? Are you an experienced Case Manager who enjoys acting as a specialist sparring partner alongside managers? Then this role at DHL Express could be the perfect opportunity for you.
At DHL Express, we believe it is important that employees remain as healthy and sustainably employable as possible. Absence requires attention, expertise and good collaboration between employees, managers, HR and external parties.
As a Case Manager, you will have the opportunity to fully focus on where your expertise lies: absence and return-to-work processes. You are the specialist and point of contact within the organisation and support managers in effectively and carefully managing absence cases.
What will you do?
As a Case Manager, you will guide and coordinate absence and return-to-work processes for employees. You will maintain an overview of the various cases, monitor agreements and statutory deadlines, and ensure that the right actions are taken at the right time.
You are not responsible for taking over the responsibility for the employee's absence. The manager remains responsible for the absence process; you support and advise them and ensure that the right expertise and actions are brought in.
You will be responsible for, among other things:
- Guiding and monitoring individual absence and return-to-work cases.
- Advising and coaching managers on absence-related matters and supporting them with complex cases.
- Preparing, maintaining and following up on action plans, while monitoring statutory obligations and deadlines.
- Maintaining contact with employees and coordinating with the parties involved, including the occupational health service provider.
- Acting as a point of contact and sparring partner for managers in the area of absence.
- Identifying opportunities around prevention, sustainable employability and preventing long-term absence.
- Contributing to a consistent and professional approach to absence within DHL Express.
Your team and working environment
You will be part of the HR Business Partner team and work closely with HR Business Partners, managers and the occupational health service provider. You will report to the HR Manager.
As this role involves working with different colleagues and parts of the organisation, flexibility is important. You are willing to be present at different locations when required. Due to the location of our sites, we prefer someone who is based in the south of the Netherlands.
In addition, you will regularly be present at various locations across the country for HR meetings.
This is you
You are an experienced and confident Case Manager who is comfortable engaging in conversations with employees, managers and HR. You know when to advise, when to ask further questions and when a case needs to be progressed.
You are analytical and solution-oriented and know how to carefully balance different interests. You are someone managers can turn to when they are dealing with a complex absence-related issue, and you know how to support them in a professional and coaching-oriented manner.
In addition, you have:
- HBO-level thinking and working ability, preferably in Human Resource Management, Occupational Health or a comparable field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Case Manager or in a similar role within absence and return-to-work management.
- Good knowledge of Dutch legislation and regulations relating to absence and return-to-work processes, including the Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet verbetering poortwachter).
- Experience in managing absence cases and return-to-work processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A coaching and advisory approach towards managers.
- Organisational sensitivity and the ability to carefully balance different interests.
- Experience within logistics or an international organisation is an advantage.
- Good command of both Dutch and English.
What do we offer?
You will join an organisation where absence is taken seriously and where we have consciously chosen to provide specialist attention to absence management. This gives you the opportunity to fully apply your expertise and continue to develop it.
In return, we offer:
- A gross monthly salary between €3,300 and €4,500, depending on your knowledge and experience.
- A position of 32 to 40 hours per week.
- An independent and specialist role within the HR Business Partner team.
- Plenty of opportunity to advise and coach managers on absence-related matters.
- An electric company car.
- A position within salary grade RCS L.
- A dynamic working environment within an international organisation.
- An excellent pension scheme.
- 23 days of annual leave, with the option to choose 13 additional days of annual leave or 6.24% additional salary.
- Laptop and phone.
- Opportunities for personal development and career progression within DHL Express.
