Job Summary:
The Chemical System Operator is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and determining required adjustments necessary for the process control of the electroplating processes, waste treatment systems, and chemical solutions used in the manufacturing environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs all steps necessary to determine the correct chemical balance or material mixture needed to support proper equipment operation, product quality, or other chemical needs.
- Conducts chemical process tests, taking and measuring samples at specified intervals and stages.
- Drafts and distributes laboratory reports detailing results of testing, analysis, and required treatment or process adjustments necessary.
- Safely maintains and stores all relevant tools, instruments, measuring devices, and equipment to ensure proper function.
- Adheres to applicable EPA regulations for proper labeling and disposal of chemical compounds and waste.
- Work alongside Manufacturing Chemist to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Provide back-up support to the Manufacturing Chemist if needed.
