Client Project Manager
Lead end-to-end onboarding and implementation projects for institutional clients, coordinating data migrations, system setup, integrations, validation, UAT, training, documentation handovers, and go-live support.
Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and deliver institutional client onboarding projects from kickoff to go-live.
- Define project scope, milestones, tasks, timelines, and resource needs.
- Coordinate data migration, system setup, and integration activities with Product Owners, DBAs, DevOps, and Engineers.
- Ensure configuration, validation, and UAT cycles are completed successfully.
- Oversee operational readiness, including user training, documentation handover, and go-live support.
- Manage new modules, integrations, enhancements, and regulatory-update projects for existing clients.
- Gather client requirements and translate them into structured project plans.
- Align client needs with product backlog and roadmap decisions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client project stakeholders.
- Conduct project meetings, status reviews, and planning sessions.
- Manage project risks, dependencies, issues, and escalation paths.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards before client handover.
- Maintain project documentation, including charters, plans, RAID logs, status reports, and onboarding checklists.
- Improve onboarding frameworks, templates, client engagement playbooks, and implementation practices.
- Coordinate transition from onboarding to BAU support with Client Service.
- Coordinate test windows, test data, and deployment planning with QA and Release Management.
- Support Sales and Pre-Sales during RFPs, demos, and contract scoping.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of project management experience, ideally in client-facing or implementation roles.
- Experience onboarding institutional clients in fintech, market infrastructure, payments, custody, or asset management is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing technical projects involving system integration, data migration, APIs, or cloud platforms.
- Experience with Agile delivery environments and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple complex client projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation abilities with institutional clients.
- Understanding of APIs, integrations, cloud-native platforms, and data migration workflows.
- Knowledge of financial services, fund distribution workflows, or market infrastructure is highly preferred.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, QA, data, and client service teams.
- Proven ability to manage complex client expectations and deliver high-quality outcomes.
