Communications Manager
Lead external communications for the Optimism Collective by translating technical concepts into engaging narratives, scaling media relations, managing PR agencies and vendors, owning strategic communications for major initiatives, and leading marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute external communications strategies
- Shift media relations from reactive to strategic and proactive
- Manage and coordinate PR agency partnerships
- Plan and execute strategic communications for major initiatives and launches
- Identify, vet, and track speaking opportunities for leadership and subject matter experts
- Lead marketing campaigns from conception through execution
- Monitor industry trends and integrate insights into communications strategies
Requirements
- Experience managing communications programs at developer-first brands
- Passion for learning new technologies and understanding community engagement
- Strong grasp of blockchain technology, decentralized communities, and DAOs
- Ability to distill complex concepts into engaging campaigns for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience managing agency and vendor relationships and holding partners to success metrics
- Organized and detail oriented with ability to adapt to shifting priorities
- Exceptional communication, writing, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage comprehensive communications campaigns
