Compliance Officer
Provide pragmatic and strategic compliance advice to internal stakeholders and customers; coordinate enhanced due diligence assessments; strengthen the compliance framework; deliver AML training; perform quality assurance testing; oversee investigations; develop monitoring solutions; and improve compliance procedures and programs.
Responsibilities
- Represent Compliance toward commercial and operational teams.
- Facilitate communication with Compliance, Regulatory, Legal, and Risk functions.
- Conduct compliance training.
- Provide compliance advice to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Perform and coordinate enhanced due diligence risk assessments.
- Strengthen and scale the compliance framework.
- Leverage data and technology to improve compliance processes.
- Deliver AML training to commercial teams.
- Execute second-line quality assurance testing.
- Oversee and evaluate investigations and thematic reviews.
- Create data-driven monitoring approaches.
- Contribute to the compliance program.
- Plan and execute the annual compliance monitoring program.
- Develop monitoring methodology for first-line business processes.
- Advise the business on compliance procedure enhancements.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a second-line compliance function at a payment service provider, fintech, or financial institution.
- Knowledge of regulatory and licensing regimes for payment and e-money institutions.
- Understanding of AML/CFT risks.
- Ability to deconstruct complex compliance challenges.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to draft and monitor business processes, procedures, and policies.
- Risk identification and remediation planning.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives.
- Native Mandarin speaker.
- Business-fluent English.
