Compliance Officer
G-20 Group seeks a Compliance Officer to lead group-wide compliance governance, AML/CFT programs, regulatory reporting, Swiss and BVI regulatory relationships, compliance monitoring, and board reporting. The role is fully office-based in Zurich and requires existing Swiss work authorization without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the group-wide compliance framework, including AML/CFT policies, conflict-of-interest policies, outsourcing governance, and record-keeping standards.
- Serve as a key compliance reference point across regulated entities in Switzerland, BVI, and Cayman.
- Design and execute annual compliance monitoring and testing plans.
- Present at board meetings and prepare annual compliance reports.
- Manage VQF SRO membership obligations and annual SRO audits.
- Oversee FINMA reporting, regulatory filings, and change notifications.
- Maintain Swiss AML processes, including client risk profiling, KYC/CDD, beneficial ownership, PEP, and sanctions screening.
- Advise on FinSA compliance, client categorisation, documentation, and suitability.
- Serve as Compliance Officer and/or MLRO for BVI entities and manage the BVI FSC relationship.
- Maintain AML policies, institutional risk assessments, transaction monitoring parameters, KYC/KYB, and FATF Travel Rule compliance.
- Advise on compliance implications of new products, counterparties, and jurisdictional expansion.
- Review material contracts from a compliance and regulatory risk perspective.
- Support cybersecurity governance requirements.
Requirements
- Strong academic background in Law, Business, or a related field.
- 4+ years of compliance experience in regulated financial services, including Swiss-regulated experience.
- Direct experience as an MLRO, Compliance Officer, or equivalent with documented regulatory responsibility.
- Hands-on VQF SRO audit and/or FINMA supervisory experience.
- Compatibility with FSC BVI or equivalent offshore fit-and-proper standards.
- Deep knowledge of Swiss AML obligations, GwG, FinIA, and FinSA.
- Hands-on AML/CFT/CPF experience, including SAR management and MLRO reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal English; German strongly preferred.
- High standards, attention to detail, sound judgment, and autonomous working ability.
- Prior BVI FSC, Cayman CIMA, digital asset compliance, multi-entity compliance, derivatives compliance, ACAMS, or ICA experience is desirable.
- Must reside in Switzerland and have pre-existing Swiss work authorization without sponsorship.
