CONSTRUCTION SITE MANAGER

Job Description

1. Lead and manage construction projects from planning to completion under tight deadlines.
2. Oversee contractors, subcontractors, workers and daily site operations.
3. Work in demanding construction environments involving prolonged standing, outdoor work, heat, dust, noise and physically challenging site conditions.
4. Handle multiple urgent issues simultaneously, including project delays, manpower shortages, material issues and unexpected site problems.
5. Work under high pressure to meet strict project deadlines, quality standards and client expectations.
6. Regularly monitor site progress and take immediate action when problems arise.
7. Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers to resolve issues efficiently.
8. Working hours may be long and irregular, with overtime, weekends and public holidays required depending on project demands.
9. Be prepared for frequent changes in priorities and tight schedules, requiring strong resilience and the ability to remain effective under pressure.
10. Ensure strict compliance with Singapore construction, workplace safety and MOM requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant construction project management experience.
• Strong site management, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure and demanding environment.
• Physically and mentally prepared for challenging construction site conditions and extended working hours.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willing to work across different project sites in Singapore when required.
