Roles & Responsibilities




  • Manage a portfolio of corporate
    tax compliance and advisory engagements across various industries, ensuring
    high-quality service delivery and compliance with statutory
    deadlines.

  • Review and approve corporate
    income tax returns, tax computations, tax provisions, estimated tax
    calculations, deferred tax computations, and tax disclosures prepared in
    accordance with applicable tax legislation and IFRS/IAS 12.

  • Provide technical advice on
    corporate tax matters including business restructuring, mergers and
    acquisitions (M&A), corporate reorganizations, group restructuring,
    tax-efficient investment structures, holding company structures, financing
    arrangements, cross-border transactions, capital restructuring, business
    expansion, and exit strategies.

  • Advise clients on domestic and
    international tax matters including OECD Guidelines, Base Erosion and Profit
    Shifting (BEPS), Pillar Two (Global Minimum Tax), Permanent Establishment (PE),
    Double Tax Treaties, Withholding Tax (WHT), Controlled Foreign Corporation
    (CFC) rules, Foreign Tax Credits, Economic Substance requirements, and General
    Anti-Avoidance Rules (GAAR).

  • Lead tax due diligence
    engagements for acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and financing
    transactions by identifying tax exposures, quantifying risks, and recommending
    practical tax solutions.

  • Prepare and review technical tax
    memoranda, tax opinions, position papers, ruling requests, and client advisory
    reports supported by legislation, tax authority guidance, case law, and
    international tax principles.

  • Manage tax audits, tax authority
    enquiries, assessments, objections, appeals, and negotiations with regulatory
    authorities while minimizing tax exposures and ensuring timely resolution of
    tax matters.

  • Review current and deferred tax
    provisions, effective tax rate (ETR) calculations, uncertain tax positions, tax
    reconciliations, and financial statement disclosures in accordance with IFRS
    and applicable accounting standards.

  • Identify tax planning
    opportunities and develop tax-efficient structures while ensuring compliance
    with applicable legislation, substance requirements, transfer pricing
    regulations, and corporate governance principles.

  • Work closely with Transfer
    Pricing specialists on matters relating to Master File, Local File,
    Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR), benchmarking studies, DEMPE analysis,
    intercompany agreements, and OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines.

  • Conduct tax health checks, tax
    risk assessments, and tax governance reviews, assisting clients in designing
    and implementing effective Tax Control Frameworks (TCF) and robust tax risk
    management processes.

  • Monitor changes in tax
    legislation, international tax developments, OECD guidance, regulatory updates,
    and judicial decisions, proactively advising clients on the impact of
    legislative changes.

  • Lead multiple engagements
    simultaneously, ensuring effective project management, resource planning,
    budgeting, profitability, quality assurance, and compliance with internal risk
    management and professional standards.

  • Review the work of Senior
    Associates and Associates, providing technical guidance, mentoring, coaching,
    performance feedback, and professional development support.

  • Participate in business
    development initiatives by identifying opportunities for additional tax and
    advisory services, preparing technical proposals, supporting client pitches,
    and contributing to thought leadership initiatives.

  • Collaborate with
    multidisciplinary teams including Audit, Deal Advisory, Legal, Transfer
    Pricing, and Indirect Tax specialists to deliver integrated tax solutions for
    complex client engagements.


Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting,
    Finance, Law, Taxation, or a related discipline; a Master's degree in Taxation
    is an advantage.

  • Professional qualification such
    as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, CTA, ADIT, or an equivalent internationally recognized
    certification.

  • 5+ years of progressive
    experience in corporate tax, preferably within a Big Four or leading
    professional services firm.

  • Demonstrated expertise in
    corporate tax compliance, tax advisory, tax accounting, tax due diligence, international
    taxation, and tax risk management.

  • Strong understanding of IFRS, IAS
    12, OECD Tax Framework, BEPS initiatives, and international tax
    developments.

  • Excellent analytical, technical
    drafting, communication, stakeholder management, project management, and
    leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements in a
    fast-paced professional services environment.
