Costing Analyst (Manufacturing)
Summary
Senior Cost Analyst acting as a finance business partner for a semiconductor manufacturing plant in Singapore. Core work centres on BOM costing, headcount and labour cost analysis, variance reporting, and budgeting/forecasting using ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
We are partnering with a leading semiconductor manufacturer to hire a Senior Cost Analyst. This role requires strong experience within a manufacturing plant environment, with deep expertise in BOM (Bill of Materials) costing and headcount cost management.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the finance business partner for the manufacturing plant, providing insights to operations, supply chain, and engineering teams.
- Drive product costing analysis, ensuring BOM accuracy, yield impact, and cost competitiveness.
- Monitor and analyse headcount costs, labour efficiency, and productivity metrics to support workforce planning.
- Prepare monthly management reports, variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast), and provide commentary on plant performance.
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process, including cost drivers, manufacturing overheads, and capex planning.
- Work closely with operations and engineering teams to evaluate cost savings initiatives, process efficiency projects, and investment cases.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and accounting standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA/CA preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in finance/FP&A roles within manufacturing industries.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing plant finance, including BOM costing, headcount cost analysis, and overhead allocation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proficient in ERP and costing systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel/financial modelling skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
