Role summary
We are seeking an experienced Covenant Monitoring Analyst/Senior Analyst to support the monitoring and management of credit facilities across the corporate lending portfolio. This role involves reviewing loan documentation, monitoring financial and non-financial covenants, identifying early warning signals, supporting system implementation initiatives, and ensuring accurate credit risk reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in requirement gathering for covenant monitoring system development
- Support data cleansing activities for loan facilities integrated into the system
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure system functionality, accuracy, and reliability
- Assume "Maker" role in covenant monitoring system to create and test covenant trackers
- Review facility documents and terms for clients
- Review waivers and amendment requests from agents, borrowers, and coverage teams
- Identify early warning signals from financial data and covenant compliance certificates
- Oversee covenant monitoring, early-warning indicators, watchlists, and risk grading
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, decision-ready portfolio and credit reporting
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Banking, or a related discipline
- 5-10 years of experience in corporate banking, credit risk, portfolio monitoring, loan administration, or covenant monitoring functions
- Proven experience reviewing and interpreting loan agreements, credit agreements, and syndicated lending documentation
- Experience with covenant monitoring systems and credit portfolio management tools
- Exposure to corporate lending products and syndicated lending
