Credit Manager - Jagital
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical Credit Manager for Jagital. This role will be responsible for overseeing the credit granting process, managing risk, and optimizing Jagital's credit portfolio to ensure healthy financial operations and support business growth.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain Jagital's credit policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
* Evaluate credit applications, financial statements, and other relevant data to assess creditworthiness and make informed lending decisions.
* Establish appropriate credit limits and terms for customers, managing exposure and minimizing potential losses.
* Monitor existing credit accounts, identifying potential risks and proactively implementing strategies for mitigation.
* Collaborate with sales and operations teams to facilitate smooth customer onboarding and resolve credit-related issues.
* Manage and mentor a team of credit analysts, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
* Prepare regular reports on credit portfolio performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Initiate and oversee collection efforts for overdue accounts, collaborating with legal or external agencies when necessary.
* Stay updated on economic conditions, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact credit risk.
* Participate in strategic planning discussions related to financial risk management and business expansion.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CBA, CCE) preferred.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in credit management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
* Proven track record of successful credit risk assessment, portfolio management, and collections.
* Strong understanding of financial analysis, accounting principles, and credit scoring models.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Proficient in using credit management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in team management and development.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
