Credit Manager - Mahbubnagar

Job Summary:**

The Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of credit management activities within the Mahbubnagar branch, ensuring sound lending practices, effective risk assessment, and optimal portfolio performance. This role involves managing a team, developing credit policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Lead and manage the credit team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of credit assessment and customer service.
* Develop, implement, and monitor credit policies, procedures, and strategies in line with company objectives and regulatory guidelines.
* Conduct thorough credit assessments and financial analysis of loan applications, including evaluating creditworthiness, collateral, and repayment capacity for individuals and businesses.
* Approve or recommend approval of credit facilities within delegated authority limits, ensuring adherence to established credit parameters.
* Monitor and manage the credit portfolio, identifying potential risks, proactively addressing delinquencies, and implementing appropriate recovery strategies.
* Collaborate with sales and business development teams to support business growth while maintaining a healthy credit portfolio.
* Ensure compliance with all internal policies, external regulations, and legal requirements pertaining to credit operations.
* Prepare and present regular credit reports, analyses, and forecasts to senior management, highlighting key trends and recommendations.
* Stay updated on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting credit risk and lending practices.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to credit decisions and provide effective resolutions.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CFA) is a plus.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in credit management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
* In-depth knowledge of credit analysis, risk management principles, lending products, and financial regulations.
* Proven track record of managing a credit portfolio and achieving business objectives.
* Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Fluency in English and Telugu (both written and spoken) is essential.
