Cryptocurrency Intelligence Analyst
Research and document cryptoasset service providers, analyze blockchain and off-chain data for risk indicators, apply AML concepts to profile entities, collaborate with intelligence analysts to link real-world entities to blockchain representations, and maintain automated pipelines for VASP coverage.
Responsibilities
- Research and document cryptoasset service providers, including VASPs, custodians, OTC desks, and exchanges.
- Analyze blockchain and off-chain data to identify risk indicators and assess regulatory operations.
- Apply AML concepts, ownership structures, compliance controls, licensing status, and jurisdictional risk to entity profiles.
- Collaborate with intelligence analysts to link real-world entities to blockchain representations.
- Own entity research caseloads and identify coverage and process improvements.
- Design and maintain automated pipelines for VASP coverage processes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in cryptoassets, financial crime compliance, or international finance.
- Basic understanding of AML concepts, beneficial ownership, sanctions, and enhanced due diligence.
- Comfort navigating structured and unstructured data to assess business activity and risk profiles.
- Eligibility to work in the US.
- Familiarity with VASPs, crypto exchanges, or custodians.
- Experience with OSINT, public company registries, or financial regulatory research.
- Knowledge of global AML frameworks or crypto regulation.
